Introducing Our New Partnerships

At Ampower, we love to partner with companies that share our dedication to providing customers with the highest quality of installations paired with an unbeatable level of customer service. To ensure that our customers in the Milton Keynes area can take advantage of long-lasting, reliable charging points, we have joined with the following two companies:

EV-comply

As a software tool, EV-comply allows us to provide our customers with a seamless installation process. The software enables our customers to input their information, which will then be securely stored and processed. It provides a smooth, step-by-step transition from the initial enquiry through to completion while ensuring that the charging point installation is compliant with any government schemes. This means that when you make an online enquiry with Ampower for your EV charger installation, it will be completed through EV-comply but managed by our experienced team.

Their installers not only have years of experience but hold a wealth of accreditations from leading bodies, so our customers will always have complete peace of mind that their installation is in safe hands. Much like Ampower, Engage has a strict commitment to high standards, ensuring that installations are quality checked before handing over the charging point to the customer.

Applying For An EV Charger Grant

Whether you are installing an electric car charging point for business or home, you are able to apply for a government grant, which will go towards the cost of your installation. You can find more information about the two different grants below:

For Business: Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)

The Workplace Charging Scheme, also known as the WCS, is available for businesses, public sector organisations and charities. It allows those planning on installing charging points across their site to receive vouchers. These vouchers can then be used to support the up-front costs of buying and installing units. To remain eligible for the scheme, you must only purchase chargepoint models that have been approved by the Office of Low Emission Vehicles under the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) and then only have your model installed by an authorised installer.

For Home: Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS)

For those interested in an electric vehicle home charger, you can apply for the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS), which means that 75% of your standard installation will be covered by a grant. The grant is capped at £350 per installation, and there are criteria that you will need to meet. This will include factors such as owning or leasing a qualifying vehicle and having off-street parking available at your home. If you have two qualifying vehicles at your property, then it is possible to apply for two grants to cover your two installations. For full information on the EVHS and to submit your application, head over to the GOV.UK website.

Transitioning To An EV Made Easy!

Opting for purchasing an electric vehicle is an excellent way to begin lowering your carbon footprint, and as the transition to EVs is hugely encouraged by the government, the process couldn’t be more straightforward. As with all of our plans, we will always spend time understanding your requirements before determining which model would not only be the most cost-effective but also provide optimum efficiency. You will then be paired with an installer who will visit your home or business at a time and date that works for you, ensuring a quick and easy installation.
